“Melfand Stories” is a side-scrolling hack ‘n slash video game released for the SNES in 1994. The four playable characters have minor differences in abilities, but all can parry and block attacks, making the game relatively easy. Players navigate through stages, collecting jewelry for bonus points and choosing between “easy” and “hard” paths that influence the game’s ending and difficulty. Despite its simplicity, “Melfand Stories” offers multiple endings and arcade-like gameplay, with the ability to continue after losing a life. The old country Melfand where both men and fairy live.
