“Lego Island 2: The Brickster’s Revenge” is a 2001 action-adventure video game developed by Silicon Dreams Studio and published by Lego Software. It serves as the sequel to the original “Lego Island” and is followed by “Island Xtreme Stunts.” The game builds on the playful and creative spirit of the first installment, introducing new adventures and challenges.
The game starts in a familiar manner, with Pepper Roni tasked with delivering a pizza to the notorious Brickster who is incarcerated in the island’s jail. This time, however, the delivery takes an unexpected turn. The Brickster uses peppers from past pizzas to unleash a fiery breath strong enough to melt the jail bars, facilitating his dramatic escape. He steals the police helicopter and the Constructopedia—a vital book containing the blueprints of all the buildings on LEGO Island. As he tears pages from the Constructopedia, buildings on the island begin to deconstruct.
Pepper Roni is then propelled into an adventurous quest across different worlds to retrieve all the pages and restore order to LEGO Island. During his journey, the Brickster unleashes “Brickster Bots,” which Pepper must defeat using pizzas—a quirky yet effective weapon in this Lego universe.
Pepper’s journey first takes him to Castle Island, accessible by boat. Here, he engages in a series of tasks to aid the island’s inhabitants. His adventures include rebuilding a bridge to foster peace between the warring Lions and Bulls factions. This task involves navigating a river filled with hazards such as sharks, firing cannons, and skeleton pirates, capturing the adventurous essence of Lego video games.
After rebuilding the bridge, Pepper’s next challenge is to joust the Dark Knight to retrieve the Bulls’ flag from the Lions. This medieval-themed challenge is followed by a confrontation with Cedric the Bull, the stubborn leader of the Bulls. Upon defeating Cedric, Pepper successfully retrieves another page of the Constructopedia. With the page in hand, Pepper returns to LEGO Island to continue rebuilding the community and pursuing the remaining pages.
