About This Game

Konami Krazy Racers is a kart racing video game developed and published by Konami for the Game Boy Advance. As one of the launch titles for the system, it first appeared in Japan, followed by releases in North America and some PAL regions. The game was later re-released for the Wii U Virtual Console in Europe on October 15, 2015. Gameplay Inspired by the Mario Kart series, Konami Krazy Racers offers a similar style of play but with a distinct Konami twist. The game features characters from various Konami franchises, including Castlevania, Metal Gear, and Gradius, adding a unique flavor to the racing roster. Each race includes eight competitors, with the player character always starting in eighth position at the beginning of each circuit. The starting positions for subsequent races within a circuit are determined by the results of the previous race, creating a dynamic competitive environment. The races are presented from a behind-the-vehicle perspective, utilizing the Game Boy Advance’s Mode 7 graphics capabilities to simulate a 3D environment. Players control their kart by holding down a button to accelerate from the starting line when a timer counts down the race start. Controls and Features Coins: Players can collect coins scattered on the track, which can be used to purchase items in a shop. Maneuverability: Players can jump and brake using the game’s controls to enhance their driving tactics and avoid obstacles or navigate sharp corners effectively. Items: Throughout the race, players can collect items from red and blue bells placed along the track. Red bells offer a variety of power-ups or weapons, while blue bells exclusively provide a speed boost. Racers: Konami Krazy Racers features a total of 12 characters, each with unique features, including weight, speed and acceleration. Bear Tank: A character from Rakugakids. Dracula: The most significant antagonist of the Castlevania series. Ebisumaru: A protagonist from the Ganbare Goemon series. Goemon: The main protagonist of the Ganbare Goemon series. Gray Fox: A supporting character from Metal Gear Solid. King: A character from the pop’n music series. Moai: An enemy from the Gradius series. Nyami: A character from the pop’n music series. Pastel: A character from the TwinBee series. Power Pro-kun: A character from the MLB Power Pros series. Takosuke: A character from the Parodius series. Vic Viper: The main spaceship fighter from the Gradius series.
