Funkelion is a Friday Night Funkin mod where it plays out as a little “what if” scenario, placing Boyfriend and Girlfriend in the world of the anime Neon Genesis Evangelion. Neon Genesis Evangelion is a Japanese anime series released in 1995 by Gainax and Tatsunoko Production and directed by Hideaki Anno. It is a post-apocalyptic story about 14-year old Shinji Ikari being forced to battle large alien entities known as “ANGELs” using equally massive mysterious robot mechs called “Evangelions” for an odd organization titled NERV, which just so happens to be run by Gendo Ikari, Shinji’s father who abandoned his son at a young age.
