Driv3r, commonly known as Driver 3: Undercover and marketed as DRIV3R, is the third installment in the Driver video game series. Developed by Reflections Interactive and published by Atari, the game incorporates many features from its predecessor, Driver 2, while introducing new elements such as the ability to ride motorcycles and boats, use a variety of weapons, swim, and climb ladders. Players can also enter certain buildings and switch between controlling multiple characters.
The game is recognized for its immersive Hollywood-style action, offering a broad array of high-speed vehicle-based missions that take players deeper undercover than in previous titles. Driver 3 boasts a diverse fleet of over 70 playable vehicles, including cars, motorcycles, and buses, and provides a selection of eight different weapons, ranging from handguns to grenade launchers. This extensive variety in gameplay mechanics and vehicle options enhances its replayability and overall gaming experience. Driver: San Francisco, released in 2011, is considered the narrative successor to Driv3r.
