Contra Advance: The Alien Wars EX, also known as Contra: Hard Spirits in Japan, is a run-and-gun action platformer game developed by Cing Inc. and published by Konami for the Game Boy Advance. This title is a port of Contra III: The Alien Wars from the Super NES, and it integrates two additional levels from Contra: Hard Corps. Released in 2002, Contra Advance marked the second portable adaptation of Contra III following an earlier Game Boy version. Notably, this release maintained the original “Contra” branding in Europe and Australia, diverging from previous versions that used the “Probotector” title and featured robotic characters in these regions.
